General premise of this series: The Generation Ship Inspiration is on a journey through space from Earth to a new and uncharted world.  However, a secret is being kept by some of the colonists that will set families against each other and ruin countless lives.  

Main Characters and artwork I have done for the series: (Caution, spoilers)

Gloria Usuriel: Gabriel's mother and the strongest psychic on the Generation Ship Inspiration.  She provides the power for the Inspiration's accelerated drive.  She is married to "reformed" Vampire, D'nay, who designed the Inspiration and her sister ships.
Olivia Coffing and Gabriel Usuriel: This is the couple that Olivia Loves Gabriel revolves around.  He is a psychic from his mother's side, but doesn't have the mental strength she does.  He is a pilot by trade and a dare devil in his spare time.  Olivia is a mild mannered school teacher who finds herself falling for a beautiful man with no common sense.
Rachel: a member of the Terran movement, she had the misfortune of going into the field of space travel at precisely the wrong time in history.
Olivia: Her character's transformation and growth are the key themes of OLG.
Liv and Gabe again, because I'm just in love with them *sigh*
Gracie: *spoiler* Gabriel's youngest daughter.  Raised in isolation, first in an orphanage and then by her reclusive father, Gracie is shocked by the swirl of controversy that surrounds her when she begins attending  Inspiration Landing University.

Most of the Inspiration crew didn't know that D'nay was the one who designed the huge generation ship along with her accelerated drive.  In fact, most of the crew didn't know that his wife was the one key piece to breaking the light-speed barrier.  However, the fact remained that D'nay Usuriel knew the Inspiration from her insides out and he knew when the engines spun up to maximum accelerated drive.  He also knew, from the pitch of the engine's whine and the vibration in her alloy frame, that something wasn't right.

Gabriel watched his father dash out of the storage bay.  The pale form in D'nay's arms hardly seemed to belong to him anymore.  He associated it with an incredible amount of pain, so he'd much rather not follow his father.  The thought was superficial and he felt light headed.  He was missing some kind of complexity here.  Frowning, he turned to the other figure in the room.

Okay, let me say this.  I am one of those, go back and edit constantly types. I write and re-write and triple re-write as I go.  I think my usual pace is something like five hundred pages a night because I spend so much time rereading what I've already done and getting it just the way I want it.  Writing for word count is absolutely exhausting.  However, the piece would definitely not be getting written if I hadn't made a commitment to it and I don't think it's turning out too horrendous.  In fact, so far it's pretty light hearted and sweet.  Not my usual fair at all!
