General premise of this series: The Generation Ship Inspiration is on a journey through space from Earth to a new and uncharted world. However, a secret is being kept by some of the colonists that will set families against each other and ruin countless lives.
Main Characters and artwork I have done for the series: (Caution, spoilers)
Rachel: a member of the Terran movement, she had the misfortune of going into the field of space travel at precisely the wrong time in history.
Olivia: Her character's transformation and growth are the key themes of OLG.
Liv and Gabe again, because I'm just in love with them *sigh*
Gracie: *spoiler* Gabriel's youngest daughter. Raised in isolation, first in an orphanage and then by her reclusive father, Gracie is shocked by the swirl of controversy that surrounds her when she begins attending Inspiration Landing University. Also, allow me to add a disclaimer. There are adult themes, images and concepts in these written works. Some of them may be disturbing. They are completely fiction and meant for entertainment only. If you are bothered by any of the following, please find some pretty fairy tales to amuse yourself elsewhere: strong language, implied and explicit violence, drug use (not glamorized, but still present), sexual themes, weird sci-fi and fantasy crap. Thank you and enjoy.

Secrets.
Sometimes they are necessary. Sometimes they are evil. In my experience, most of the time they seem like the former but are really the latter.
Like a floating jewel, the Inspiration slid through the emptiness of dead space. The people slept within her round depths with the ignorance of innocent babes.
The darkness that surrounded her was nothing like the dark of night, that breathes and rushes and hums with small, living sounds. The darkness around the Inspiration was empty but not echoing, a vastness that sucked at the very edges of consciousness. Colder than iron in winter and deeper than any ocean, the blackness seeped i

Olivia Coffing
Olivia rolled over on the soft, oval mattress and looked up at the stars. The ones on the edge of the bent plex-glass window distorted into bright smudges while the motes in the center stayed clear and crisp. She gazed quietly at the darkness for a few moments while her brain slowly wandered up through the fog of sleep.
The second alarm on her wall clock beeped ferociously in her ear and she smacked it with a deep groan. A sign and stretch that cracked every joint proceeded her usual stumble-fall out of be

D'nay Usuriel
D'nay handed Alex the line scanner and sighed when the Lieutenant Propulsion Engineer gave him a dirty look.
"The blue line is going to need flushing, isn't it?"
D'nay nodded and patted the young engineer's shoulder. "If you have evening plans, I'd cancel them now."
Alex groaned and scratched his neck where the ship suit zipper often rubbed. "Ameda's gonna kill me."
D'nay tapped at his appointment pad and gave a sympathetic shrug. "You know how it goes. How's Ameda doing by the way?"
"About to pop, that's how," Alex replied with a rue smile, "I'll be lu

Gloria Usuriel
Pregnancy was not something Gloria Usuriel was terribly fond of. She'd been with child only once before and that was over eighty-three years ago. With a groan she shifted her unbalanced weight and gave a heavy sigh as she sorted through the charts for the last three days. She couldn't put off the paperwork any longer without risking inaccuracies. Even her gifted memory had limits. With a flourish she signed off on the duty roster for next week and turned to the list of inoculations slated for this month. By now she knew to simply schedule them herself and inform her p

Melissa nearly buried her ship knife into the pregnant medic's eye when Gloria grabbed her wrist.
"Don't startle me like that!" she snapped and instantly regretted taking such a harsh tone. Gloria didn't react with anger, however. She seemed strangely calm and merely made a shushing noise.
"We've been boarded by hostile aliens. You and I need to get to the bridge," she said. Melissa stared at her for a moment as if she'd grown a second head.
"Aliens? There's no such thing..."
Gloria cut off the young woman's protests. "I don't have time to argue. We need to

Gabriel Usuriel
Gabriel felt his mind slipping into the stream of energies and currents as soon as his foot passed the edge of the doorway to the heart ship. He fought against it, working his way into the space meant for a woman half his size. He could see Flower and his mother peering down at him as he settled himself into the heart ship.
"Who who is this?" Stella's voice had never filled his mind like this before. Gabriel gasped as the stream pulled him under and he lost all awareness of his body, the harness, the cramped conditions. Instead, he WAS the ship. Every

D'nay Usuriel
Most of the Inspiration crew didn't know that D'nay was the one who designed the huge generation ship along with her accelerated drive. In fact, most of the crew didn't know that his wife was the one key piece to breaking the light-speed barrier. However, the fact remained that D'nay Usuriel knew the Inspiration from her insides out and he knew when the engines spun up to maximum accelerated drive. He also knew, from the pitch of the engine's whine and the vibration in her alloy frame, that something wasn't right.
"Structural integrity is back up to 98 per

Gabriel Usuriel
Gabriel watched his father dash out of the storage bay. The pale form in D'nay's arms hardly seemed to belong to him anymore. He associated it with an incredible amount of pain, so he'd much rather not follow his father. The thought was superficial and he felt light headed. He was missing some kind of complexity here. Frowning, he turned to the other figure in the room.
His mother had tears rolling down her cheeks, even though she didn't make a sound. She clung to the round bulge of her pregnant belly, staring at the door after her husband and son.

Spoilers alert! If you are following the chapters above and don't want to skip ahead in the plot line, DON'T read the chapters below! I have a really scattered notion of this plot line so I have been writing it from various points. This is from a later point in time. However, if you love the characters and really want more story, here it is:

Original Teaser:

Olivia Loves Gabriel
I am not sure why I went to Gabriel's room that day. There were parts of me that still didn't want to. Like little brown spots on an otherwise good piece of fruit, or a sore tooth in my mouth, those doubting pieces nagged at me and sent lumps of dread to fester in my guts.
And yet...
And yet...
Evenings spent watching stars in 'Ponics while the olive trees swayed in the artificial breeze. My head on his solid shoulder with his strong arms around me; the quiver of hopeful uncertainty. Secret, surprising kisses stolen in the dark.
I wanted those moments back. I felt bereft, lost without the intimacy that once filled my now dreary

I Didn't Wake Up With A Death Wish
This will become a series at some point. Right now it's on hold because of NaNoWriMo. I will be posting what I'm writing for November's challenge and yes, it will be related to Gen Ship and all the rest. So just hold tight! Anyway, here's the intro to OLG's sequel:
Redeeming Grace
I won't list all the parts for Redeeming here because it would take a huge chunk of space. However, if you love Gabe as much as I do, he's a lead character in this series as well, so you won't want to miss it! You can get to all of the parts here:
Redeeming GraceMy NaNoWriMo Novel!
Okay, let me say this. I am one of those, go back and edit constantly types. I write and re-write and triple re-write as I go. I think my usual pace is something like five hundred pages a night because I spend so much time rereading what I've already done and getting it just the way I want it. Writing for word count is absolutely exhausting. However, the piece would definitely not be getting written if I hadn't made a commitment to it and I don't think it's turning out too horrendous. In fact, so far it's pretty light hearted and sweet. Not my usual fair at all!
So, without further ado, I give you Redeeming Grace:
Synopsis
Gracie Usuriel was removed from her mother's home when she was five. Unwanted by fosters because of her unusual gifts, Grace was slowly fading into another lost soul in the Skukyle City group home. Then, one amazing day, everything changes.
Tall, dark, handsome and gifted, Gabriel is everythi
